The universe in view through an advanced telescope in the Meteoria Observatory
Experience planets and stars through the astronomical observatory's telescope at guided tours during dark autumn and winter evenings.
The observatory is well-equipped with a telescope for studying the starry sky and other celestial bodies millions of light years away. The Vaasa Andromeda Astronomical Society arranges tours by appointment and open tours for the public.
A magnificent view of the sky opens up when the observatory roof is pushed aside. Observations are facilitated by the rather dark surroundings at the Meteoria, where the nearest road lighting is about 3 km away.
